We have one of these models, and we can reste it and configure as pass through. We’re able to join wifi networks, surf the web connected to its LAN port, etc. This is all connected to a laptop.
We’ve discovered that when the power is cycled and plugged into a new device, the config is forgotten and we have to start over. We also tried this on the exact same laptop and it won’t keep the pass through setting. We hit Next on the wizard where it says to join a wifi, but then never get a Finish button etc, just the fact that it’s now connected on the Internet tab.
We explored installing the latest stable firmware, 4.3.25, but we have 4.3.27 and it won’t revert or ininstall. There’s also no place to save the config, which is literally just switching to pass through mode.
On top of this, once you do this, it forces you to abandon the original page and go to a different “luci” page so you can imagine how much we’re reset this thing today.
Any ideas or do we have a defective device?
