GL-AR750 Travel Ruter Dropped Connections

Hi, this router is pretty amazing but one thing I’ve noticed is the frequent dropped connections when wifi repeating my Vision cell phone. It happens every hour or so. I updated the firmware and it seems to happen less but it still happens. So I opened the log file and waited for it to happen again. Here’s what it looks like the minute before it disconnected:

Repeating on cell phones seems not as stable as router. Cell phones’ wifi config is not easy to change.

Hi Johnex, yes I’m on version 3.104 at the moment. Previously I used a RAVpower filehub which was a bit basic but it never dropped connections every hour or so like mine is doing now. Otherwise great product.

Hi alzhao, I have a RavPower filehub that repeats the signal just fine without the drops. It doesn’t have the features of the GL-AR750 though.

Is there any reason why you don’t use USB tethering rather than repeating? (Something else the RavPower doesn’t do? )

More reliable and potentially better speeds.

Just tested a day of the GL-AR750 Travel Router being hard tethered to the phone. Still drops every hour and a half. Once 10am this morning, then 11:30am.
