GL-AX1800 firmware upgrade warning

Router is currently at 3.216. Version 4.1.0 is downloaded but the following warning is displayed:

“The uploaded firmware is older than the current firmware or is a 3rd-party firmware. It make break the router due to hardware incompatibility. You are also suggested to NOT keep settings.”

Should I apply this upgrade or stay at 3.216?

4.x Firmware adds features and updates to a more current OpenWRT build. If you upgrade to 4.x you will not be able to re-use any settings or config files (YOU need to set everything up from default)

Also check your UBoot version before updating
