GL-AX1800 Flint with Sonoff DW2 Wifi

Hi GL.iNet,

I recently received my Sonoff DW2 Wifi, and I noticed that when the “Allow legacy 802.11b rates” option is not enabled, I am unable to pair or operate the Sonoff DW2 Wifi. However, when this option is enabled, I can pair and operate Sonoff DW2 WiFi, but a few of my other Sonoff devices lose connection, especially the T1 UK2C (FW: PSF-B04-GL) and T1 UK3C (FW: PSF-B04-GL).

I wanted to bring this issue to your attention and seek your advice on how to resolve it. It seems to be related to the “Allow legacy 802.11b rates” setting, and I’m not sure why it’s causing conflicts with some of my other devices.

I have some sonoff as well, try one of these:
1 - Enable IGMP Snooping - IGMP Snooping - GL.iNet Router Docs 4
2 - Disable WMM
3 - Try to switch sonoff firmware to tasmota - https://tasmota.github.io/

When I set the wireless settings to b/g/n/ax and check the “Luci” wireless settings, they appear to be the same as my previous configuration. The picture attached in my first post shows the similarities between the current settings and the previous ones.

However, I still have a few Sonoff devices that are not able to connect. The problem persists. If the “Allow legacy 802.11b rates” option is enabled, I am able to pair or operate the Sonoff DW2 WiFi, but all the other devices lose connection, especially the T1 UK2C (FW: PSF-B04-GL) and T1 UK3C (FW: PSF-B04-GL). Conversely, if I disable the option, I am unable to operate them.

Well next is check if this solve the connection problem. That’s what I did for some sonoff mini. And about legacy 802.11b you are right, it need to be enabled. Maybe you need to reset the other devices and try to connect again.

Thank you for your replies. I realized that my initial settings were correct. I must have overlooked the Sonoff LED blinking pattern, which was blinking once per second, indicating that the device was not connected to the user’s account. However, now everything seems to be connected and working properly.

I apologize for my previous message, as it seems I was mistaken. The devices are still not able to connect to the router with my initial settings, and I’m still experiencing difficulties when using the “b/g/n/ax” configuration. However, when using the “g/n/ax” setting and enabling “IGMP snooping,” the devices are now working fine.

It’s interesting to note that even though the wireless settings look the same under AX with “Allow legacy 802.11b rates” enabled, the performance is different.

Well in my experiece “Allow legacy 802.11b rates” doesn’t affect only b devices, but g as well. I have a nintendo Wii, if I don’t have this option enabled, it doesn’t connect to internet, and it uses wifi g, not b.

I’m very glad to hear you have all the devices working normally. According you descriptions,I think there are a lot of multicasting data frames in you network,these flows transmit in a low rates (11b rates)which would cause wifi network congesions. Once you enable the IGMP snooping,these multicasting data frames will not be transmited.Then everything goes well.

I wanted to update you on my current settings. I am now simply using the “g/n/ax” setting and have enabled “IGMP snooping,” while “Allow legacy 802.11b rates” is disabled.
