GL-AX1800 installation

I have managed to instal the device by using the access by another WiFi AP but I get stuck there. I had a Netgear WNDR 3750 which suffered a failure because of a recent power outage and
restart. What I am trying to do is connect the GL-AX1800 in place of the WNDR3750.This had been connected to the ISP Hub as a LAN device as almost all my PCs have no internal, or external WiFi capability all connections by Ethernet. I now have a more modern attitude and have numerous devices which use the ISP WiFi and still a few that use the WNDR3750 WiFi,

Am I trying to do the impossible? I want to keep the ethernet connected PCs, Laptop and New WiFi devices using the same IP addresses and cabling.

Looking at you've described, it looks like you want to all clients are in the same subnet?
Try the access point (AP) mode on the AX1800:

How do I change the mode on the ax1800?
You quoted access point (AP) mode, where is that in the admin page?

Follow the link that bruce posted. Duh.

What Bruce posted, when I looked for it, did not have anything about repeater.

I mean do not use the repeater mode, since you say you want to all clients in the same subnet.

You can try bringing the GL router wired connect to ISP router (WNDR3750), and the GL router set to access point mode.

All is OK now I reverted to factory settings and started over - everything is now how I want it. All my printer problems and static IP addresses fixed.
