# GL-AXT1800 4.0.3 vpn-policy

Hi all,  
Just got my awesome GL-AXT1800 wanted to replace GL-AR750s with it but found that there is no VPN policy in GUI 😨. (v.4.0.3)  
Is that expected and it was removed?  
If yes, is there any option to set it up w/o GUI?

There actually is. In VPN Dashboard there are 2 small arrows behind the title. Press those to set policies.

You should also upgrade to the latest beta: [https://github.com/gl-inet/gl-infra-builder/releases/download/v4.1.0\_axt1800\_beta3/axt1800\_glinet\_ipk.tar.gz](https://github.com/gl-inet/gl-infra-builder/releases/download/v4.1.0_axt1800_beta3/axt1800_glinet_ipk.tar.gz)

Extract the .tar, and use the .img you get from there to do a local upgrade in the panel.

The VPN Policy in version 3.x firmware is split into [Proxy Mode](https://docs.gl-inet.com/en/4/tutorials/vpn_dashboard/#proxy-mode) and [Global Options](https://docs.gl-inet.com/en/4/tutorials/vpn_dashboard/#global-options) in 4.x firmware.
