I found a bug in the current beta firmware for the GL-AXT1800 with firmware version 4.6.6
I am connecting to another router via repeater option.
There is a saved „Known Network“ entry, which I cannot delete or modify. I made the mistake to select 5G only, and now I can‘t revert to auto for band selection.
Rebooting the router doesn‘t help and the connection to the other router fails. Also deletion of the entry has no effect. I am using an iPad to access the front end via browser. I also tried the GL.INET app for IOS which didn't had any effect.
Update: After resetting the firmware, I could connect to the other router again.
This is definitely a bug in the repeater options, which should be resolved. @bruce, will this problem be solved in the next beta for the GL-AXT1800?
May I know how to reproduce this situation?
I have tried to connect multi primary Wi-Fi in the repeater, the item(s) of 'Known Networks' can be deleted.
Then you try connect to the router in repeater mode again, which will most likely fail. Going back then to Auto is not possible. Also deleting the setting and the saved router was not possible for me.
The router I am connecting to is from Huawei and has a 2G/5G mode in offer.
The only solution for me was to reset the router, then it worked. I couldn‘t use another browser because I have only my iPad and iPhone with me. I tried Firefox and Safari on my iPad. So I assume, it was not a caching problem. When I am back home, I will try to reproduce the error with the AXT-1800.
