GL-AXT1800 Samba not available

Hi, I've just got a brand new AXT1800.
One of my goal was to share files over the network (all Windows here).
It comes with 4.6.11, but when I plugged several USB Key, I had the same result : Nothing available in File Services. USB Key were FAT32, exFat and NTFS.
So, I've tried to put 4.8.0 Beta7, but with the same results.

Any idea is welcome..
Thx

Hi,

I use the same device, the same firmware version V4.6.11, and Samba works fine.

Please try formatting the USB drive, or use the reset button on the side of the router to restore factory settings.

Hi Alen,
thanks for your reply.
In my case, the File Services tab is empty : Nothing appears down ( Samba, WebDav, ....)

I will try to restore factory settings and come back wit the result.

Hi,
So after reset, I now have access to the settings.
I was able to enable Samba and WebDav.

I've set a user/password, and check Anonymous Access : But I cannot acces the share.
It keeped asking for login, and even if I enter the value it doesn't work.

Have you some hints for me ?
BTW, I'm still with 4.8.0 beta7

If you are trying to access shares on Windows 11 as a guest then you need to modify the registry to allow network access. Also make sure that you have network visibility allowed for private / home networks. Click on "This-Pc" then on the left navigate to "Network" if you haven't enabled network visibility then a yellow prompt bar at the top will be visible, click it and enable access.

** Now do the registry edit - see Method 2
"2. Enable Insecure Guest Logins via Registry Editor"

**Make sure you don't mess with anything else in the registry and you make sure you are editing in the correct area, failure to do so could seriously corrupt your computer.
