GL-AXT1800 Slate AX Guest Network

Hi,
I Have Wireless Camera Assigned 192.168.9.171 Using “Network - LAN” tab
(Camera is Defender Guard Pro PT)

When I Use the “2.4GHZ Guest” Network, I log into Network with my Phone on
the Guest Network I am assigned the Ip address 192.168.9.202. I can go to my Defender Guard Camera App and it see my camera and I can control the camera like it should.

When I log out of “2.4GHZ Guest” Network and log in to the regular “2.4GHz Network”
I am assigned the Ip address 192.168.8.155. I can go to my Defender Guard Camera App and it see my camera and I can control the camera like it should.

I thought The “2.4GHz Network” and the “2.4GHZ Guest” where supposed to be isolated networks on the “LAN” side of the router.

Acts the same way if turn off the camera and reboot the router and then turn back on the camera.

I am using Firmware Version: 4.4.6 2023-09-08 02:23:58 (UTC-05:00)
SHA256: 32e32e90a68003b722d23b6955cb2a678445d188f47a5de926860e3e3f080487

Any Ideals if my thinking is wrong or if I’m doing something wrong?

Should I not be able see 192.168.9.x network stuff on the 192.168.8.x Network?

Thanks

Does the camera perhaps use a cloud service?

Yes, just to ad device to the app is when it uses the cloud, camera it self doesn’t store any camera video on line it just stores on local SD card.

If it’s something online then that’s probably my problem. I couldn’t get their app to “add the camera” when using the “2.4GHZ Guest” Network (192.168.9.x) but I got it to “add the camera” when using the regular “2.4GHz Network” and everything worked. But the I used “Network - LAN” tab to change the ip 192.168.9.x Network, maybe when I add the device in their app it stores the IP address on their cloud, who knows.

Back to drawing board.

Thanks

Did you just change the address from 8.x to 9.x?
This won’t work.

Changed 192.168.8.175 to 192.168.9.171, everything appears to be working.

On phone Using regular 2.4 Wireless Network (with IP 192.168.8.162)
When I shut off the 192.168.9.x Wireless Guest Network I lose the Camera since it’s assigned 192.168.9.171 so that’s saying to me the Camera is using correct 192.168.9.x
since I assign it 192.168.9.171.

The more I try these Phone Apps “Defender Guard” and the “Braumm” App For my Outdoor Outlet I think when both 2.4GHz Networks are “turned on” The Cell phone app doesn’t care what 2.4Ghz Network it’s hooked to will find either device no matter even if the phone is on the other 2.4Ghz Network.

This thinks me to conclude it’s probably more these Cell phone Apps “Defender Guard” and the “Braumm” App to strange things just totally confusing me.
