GL-B1300 Wifi unstable

Is it just me, or is the wifi of the GL-B1300 very unstable?
I have a mesh configuration with two B1300 with software V2.07 (latest).
Two different smartphone loose connection at the same time no matter where it is (near or far to each of the two routers). After some time (usually ~10 sec) the wifi is up again.
This is very annoying!
Edit: I checked wether the used Wifi channel is already occupied through Wifi Analyzer.

When did you buy the B1300?
The latest firmware version of B1300 is 3.027.

My mistake. Of course I have 3.027. I made a typo.

Do you have any other configurations? Such as repeater

Even without the repeater I have this problems.
Can I give some more hints?
Config file?
Logs?

Are you using 2.4G or 5G wifi?

Both. 2.4 and 5Ghz are enabled.

I mean, do you mean 2.4G wifi is not stable or 5G wifi is not stable, or both?

Is your smartphone connected to 2.4G or 5G wifi.

It is connected via 2.4 Ghz

Can you try connecting your devices to 5G WiFi ?

I can not modify the wifi settings in mesh mode.
So I disabled the mesh, rebooted the main node to enable both 2.4 and 5GHz on the main node.
Then I re-enabled the mesh.
Now I am connected via 5GHz and see the same problems.

You can try to slow down the wifi speed to improve stability。

How can I slow down the wifi speed?

Set it up here

@tobias I have a 3 node mesh system (running 3.027) and never had any issues with WiFi dropping out.

To me the question would be is it a dodgy B1300 or dodgy mesh?

I know it would be time consuming but if I was in the same situation I’d be doing the following:

  1. Reset B1300 Unit 1
  2. Test Unit 1 as a standard router to see if the WiFi issues are still present on both the 2.4 and 5Ghz bands.
  3. Reset B1300 Unit 2
4.Test Unit 2 as a standard router to see if the WiFi issues are still present on both the 2.4 and 5Ghz bands.
  4. Reset Unit 1 and 2. Make unit 1 the Master Node and Unit 2 the Slave mode. Test if issues still exists. If it works no further testing
  5. If issues reset Unit 1 and 2. Make Unit 2 the Master Node and Unit 1 the Slave Mode. Test if issues still exists. If it works no further testing

Know it sounds time consuming and convoluted but sadly determining issues is often a case of back to basics and process of elimination ( in fact if it was me I’d probably also reload the firmware via uboot on each unit before initial testing).

If still issues talk to the guys about getting replacements. As I say have 3 nodes that work just fine.

@limbot
Thank you very much for your detailed answer and proposals to solve the issue.
I hope I find the time at the weekend to check this.
It is also reassuring to read that you don’t have issues.

Thank you all for your help.
As @limbot told me, I resetted everything but without success.
Than I had the idea to switch to another wall plug et voila! Success!
It had problems with sharing the wall plug with the cable signal amplifier.
Now everything runs fine.
Thanks again.
