GL-E5800 (4.10) ethernet port as LAN for guest

ist is possible to switch ethernet port to guest subnet?

Hi,

Before making the change, we recommend connecting your computer to the E5800 through the main Wi-Fi network.

1. Please open LuCI → Network → Interfaces → Devices, then find br-lan and click Configure.
   Remove only eth0 from br-lan, and keep rndis0 and ecm0 unchanged.
   

   
   
   
   
   
   
   

2. Then return to Network → Interfaces → Devices, find br-guest, and click Configure.
   Under Bridge ports, add:eth0
   

   

3. After that, click Save & Apply.

Once configured, a device connected to the E5800 Ethernet port should receive an IP address from the Guest subnet, such as 192.168.9.x

Please note that if you later switch the Ethernet port between WAN and LAN mode, the port configuration will be reset to the default LAN network (192.168.8.x). In that case, you will need to move eth0 to br-guest again in LuCI.
