GL-E750V2 Mudi - Has support for physical eSIMs changed in firmware 4.8.5?

I’m using a physical EIOT Club eSIM with a GL-E750V2 Mudi. It worked perfectly up to firmware version 4.8.4.

Today I upgraded to beta 4.8.5 (GL.iNet download center), only to find that my physical eSIM was no longer recognized. Instead, I was presented with a page redirecting me to stores selling what appear to be officially supported physical eSIMs.

Is this an intentional policy change, or is it just a bug? After downgrading back to 4.8.4, my physical eSIM was recognized again and worked as expected.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

I think this is more likely a bug than a policy change. If it were intentional, they probably would have mentioned it in the release notes.

Hi,

We tested GL-E750V2 with firmware v4.8.5 locally, and the eSIM Management page is displayed normally.

To help us investigate the difference, could you please provide the following information?

  1. After upgrading to firmware v4.8.5, could you please provide a screenshot of the Internet page showing the current status?
  2. Could you please try rebooting the built-in modem :

    Or

After rebooting, please check whether the Physical eSIM can be detected.
  3. Could you please provide the information of the Physical eSIM card you are using, including the provider and model?
  4. If possible, could you please provide system log for further analysis?

Please send these files together with the requested information to us via private message.

I upgraded again yesterday and the now issue is gone. The EIOT physical SIM is getting detected properly. I don’t know what the reason was that led to the issue before.
Anyway, thank you for responding to my post!
