GL GUI and LuCI interaction

I don’t understand how configurations done through the GL-iNet GUI interact with configuration s done through LuCI.
For instance,

  • I defined an OpenVPN server config through the GL GUI. It dose not show in the LuCL VPN display.
  • I defined some port forwarding definitions with the LuCI>Network>Firewall>Port Forwards. These do not show in the GL GUI Port Forwarding display.

As near as I can tell, both interfaces modify the same /etc/config/ files. I know the VPN definition works. I haven’t tested the port forwarding yet.

The rule will only show up if its name starts with GL-

OpenVPN is done via uci and does not support the luci VPN interface.
