Hi, I’m using the gl-inet Android app v1.2.2-release to connect with my Comet Pro, running v1.9.1-release1 firmware.
The app has slightly improved, but still I think that’s something missing with the Relative Mode mouse emulation; on a smartphone touch screen it’s often difficult to use the Absolute Mode (which is the best on the PC with a browser) so the relative is my preferred mode on Android.
If you look at the attached screen animation (GIF), you can see that my touch on the screen (the white circle) is smooth while the mouse pointer seems to be jerky. When near the hamburger menu on the screen, for example, you can see that I’m moving my finger but the pointer doesn’t move at all.
Do you think you can this behaviour be improved in a future version?
By the way, sensitivity is set to 1.0, because otherwise the pointer seems to go too much fast. The same setting on a browser in a PC seems more usable, probably because the mouse is much more controllable.
This behavious is much more visible near the edges of the screen, as in the GIF above: seems like there’s “a friction” there.
You mean the EDID setting should be similar to the Android resolution? Anyway I have some difficulties to do that, because setting the EDID to anything higher than 1920x1080 makes the text and items too little to read and use them on the smartphone, a Samsung S23 Ultra (with 3088x1440).
In the above video capture I used 1920x1080.
Apart from that, I see that the keyboard disadvantages that I already listed here haven't been addressed and going to the BIOS or changing the boot order is still difficult from a smartphone!
