GL-iNET App can't find router behind NAT?

I recently found out that when smartphone is behind NAT(connected with 3rd party WAP that has its own NAT/DHCPd built-in), the GL-iNET App can’t detect the router.

Scenario:

smartphone(IP gain through DHCP 10.x.x.x) → NAT(10.0.0.1) —>WAP(192.168.8.x) —>GL-iNET router(192.168.8.1) (WAP is in the same network block as router)

Is this normal due to its knowledge to only 10.x.x.x IP range ?

When you open the App, the App will try to connect to the gateway of the Wi-Fi that your phone is currently connected to.

The App will only check if 10.0.1 is a GL router.

I see, thanks for the explanation.
