GL.iNet GL-AR750S support for SMB2?

WIll there be an update that allows access to the memory card on the GL-AR750S without using SMBv1? Currently it only supports SMB1. US-CERT recommends that users and administrators consider disabling SMBv1.

This recomendation is two years old. I’m hoping that there will be an update to at least allow SMBv2.

You can follow this guide to enable SMB2:

thanks for this, it worked nicely for me, with one exception. The path to the file to edit is at /etc/samba/smb.conf.template

It worked for me, too. I’m just not sure what I am looking at. I have two shares:

I am assuming sda1 is the SD card. Not sure where the ‘nobody’ share is directing me to.

One more question: will this setup survive an firmware update?

Also, here is the option page I have. I had to open a different browser to see what the options actually were.

I also do not know but nobody is the user that owns the share probably. So maybe all of the shares owned by nobody exist under nobody folder.
