For comparison, I tested my Samsung S21+ WiFi 6 (not the top S21 Ultra WiFi 6E) connected to U6-Pro WiFi 6 on 5GHz band 80MHz channel width from 10-12 feet distance:
Speed tests were conducted using LibreSpeed installed on the LAN without going on the Internet.
The GL.iNet terminology of “Repeater” is anytime that WWAN is connected to another wifi access point, even if you disable WLAN rebroadcast. With port forwarding set up, the inbound traffic will go directly the LAN device, but the outbound traffic will still be routed and NAT’ed.
It looks as if our results are somewhat comparable, I wasn’t close to the U6-LR access point and the results were taken approximately 8 metres away through 3 house walls.
I’ve yet to hear from anyone from GL.iNet technical support with regards to if WiFi 6 lack of operation on the 2.4 GHz is a bug or not, other devices seem to support WiFi 6 over 2.4 GHz just fine.
