Hello users,
I purchased an X3000, used an ATT data plan for +/- 90 Gigs. I know that it works just fine.
My employer said I qualify for FirstNet, received a firstnet sim card, tried to use my device with the sim card and it shows as NOT registered. Contacted the store... "not compatible".. tried customer service "not compatible"... checked online and others have had success and looks to be compatible. I have researched the topic and VERY few results came up.
I tried the:
AT+EGMR=1,7,“your att approved IMEI”
IMEI can be changed, however the x3000 is NOT on the "capable" list for FN
*** but runs the ATT sim just fine
using a device that is "capable" (phone) prompted them to switch from data to a phone plan.
have spent several hours on the phone with att trying to troubleshoot the issue BUT all fingers
point to x3000 not on the list.
pointless to pay this much for a great device when the carrier stone walls unless you buy THEIR hardware. I don't have 700-1000 dollars to buy the "recommended" one just to get the IMEI but it seems to be my only option at this point -_-
ONLY netgear device that is "compatible"
can't find where to purchase that specific one- it's like it doesn't exist
If this card must be on a device which it is in the "capable" list, modifying the IMEI may be feasible, but it is no guarantees that if there are other restrictions.
Please contact our technical support team through email support@gl-inet.com, cellular expert will try to check and debug it to see if this SIM available to work on the GL X3000.
