I have just started using the Slate 7 Pro but the temperature is in my opinion high.
There are only 3 devices connected and there is not much data, is this normal behaviour?
Can you mention the absolute temps and ambient temps?
How long has your device been running?
My device has only one client connection on its Ethernet network, and a temperature of around 70 degrees Celsius is within expectations.
It does run hot by nature (multiple threads on other platforms mention the same), but if it helps you can probably lower the fan threshold to 65C so that it kicks in a bit earlier.
Also you can use a 5w usb fan to keep it cool if that suits you.
