GL-Mifi, EC20 Mini PCIe: Antenna question

The EC20 Mini PCIe has 3 uFL (Main, Diversity, GPS). What does this mean?

  1. EC20 has it’s own internal antenna and offers the uFL for optional external antenna?

  2. EC20 has no internal antenna, but the uFL is used to connect to the main PCB and there an internal antenna is being used?

  3. Neither EC20 nor GL-Mifi have an internal antenna and therefore an external one is required.

These modules don't have built in antennas and you need to connect external antenna
