Are you using a version of the firmware from the stable release, or the snapshot? I was having problems with internal sd card reader and some cards but that was fixed in the beta 4 snapshot. If you haven’t already updated to snapshot beta 4 or 5 you should try one of them. Also make sure that ntfs-3g is installed to be able to write to it. See this link

Nice, already got it to work, last thing missing is to make Beryl recognize Easy Tether as Tethering in the Admin Panel instead of recognizing the phone as 3G 4G Modem.

Submitted an internal requirement to add this.

I haven’t try to connect my whole house but I figure I shouldn’t have any issues the beryl can hold more than I need. I ll do the test to connect a couple of devices to see what happen, so far is working great, I dont regret having the beryl with easytether

I’m having issues with 10+ low bandwidth devices. Just curious if you have similar probs. I’m trying to figure out if it’s easytether bottleneck or the AR150 I have and I’ll get a better model.

I’ve got the beryl. Setup was very easy, but works no better than the AR150.

I wish I knew how to troubleshoot.

I’ve got 2 wired devices: a camera hub station that does not actively use bandwidth (only on motion), and a door lock module that doesn’t use much bandwidth.

On 2G I have 7 low bandwidth devices: led lights mostly.

On 5G I have 3 devices: two desktop computers and a laptop.

When trying to use the desktop computers the network completely fails, and I have to restart everything. I’ll open a game, like fortnite and it takes 5-15 minutes to start, and when it does the connection is SOLID for hours.

So something is happening. The setup works, but it’s fickle and I’m not sure what sets it off.

You’re probably right. I will test with native tethering. Wish there was another way to use native without blowing through data so fast. Paying 400$ for three cell phones you should get unlimited tethering

My apologies I still haven’t try my whole house I haven’t had the time I usually use it when I’m not at home. But still mine is working great. Yes at the beginning I had to factory reset everything until I got it to work. Once I got it I did a final factory reset and did a clean set up. And so far no issues at all. Have you try a factory reset and a new clean set up?

Fernando- no worries, but yes I am very interested in hearing your experience. I am not sure what is happening. When I use easytether when all of my devices are connected, and I go on a desktop to launch a game (fortnite), or open a web browser and search, everything just keeps loading until I am met with the error: This site can’t be reached ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT- after a few minutes it refreshed the page about half way, and then it happens again. As far as fortnite, the game just is stuck on the server connection screen, just keeps loading. If I leave it for about 15 minutes it eventually connects, THEN I can play completely uninterrupted and at great speed for however long I need. It’s really weird. During this time, I may see my camera hub attached the the network disconnect, but with whatever is getting direct bandwidth I am solid. Not sure where to look for logs to show this. I will say, there was improvement when I used native tethering instead of ET, but obviously that defeats what I am trying to do here.

Turn on second desktop computer- load fortnite… kicks us both off.

In LUCI I dont see any errors or maybe I dont know how to read it.

I connected to USB tether and it all went great then bam 1 hour later, phone tether option is greyed out, I checked tether to pc and it works fine.

Seriously how do I fix this? Read through this thread and is no help at all. Is USB 3 on Beryl dead now or ?

EDIT: Rebooted fixed it, but then it drops and cannot reconnect until I reboot again. So it appears to be on a one hour timer before it disconnects. How do I disable the disconnect timer? ( I will keep working on this till either i fix it or someone gives me an answer)

Ok, problem seems largely fixed now.

Just one small problem now, After about 12 hours of no problem, internet stop working but phone usb tether is still on (not greyed out) and tether connection in Beryl is still connected. Turning on and off airplane fixes it. Any idea why that happens?

Thanks for this guide. I couldn’t make it to work without it. All that was needed was to change the WAN interface to tap-easytether. Works great with an LG v50 ThinkQ

Help, everytime i try to install the ipk file i get an error saying that is not compatible with my architecture, makes no sense!
EDIT:
Nevermind, my error was, i choose MEDIATEK in the driver, because the webpage says pick your correct processor, but i had no idea my actual processor was under “ramips” folder, that one has the correct .ipk file for GL-MT1300 router!
