GL-MT3000 Beryl dropping constantly

I am afraid I am adding to the yet growing threads on how unreliable / unstable the GL-MT3000 is.

I am using a Beryl and a ZTE MF833N dongle. The 4G signal is good.

Every few minutes the whole thing drops - that is to say:

  1. WiFi SSIDs disappear from the list of available wireless networks AND
  2. Light on dongle turns red

After a minute or so it all comes back.

If GLiNet want to suggest any fixes then great, otherwise it’s going back to Amazon with a 1* review.

Hello,

The USB dongle's light is red, does it mean the USB port is re-connected or the dongle restarted?

  1. Please unplug the USB dongle and observe if the MT3000 will drop?
  2. Is the MT3000 currently using the stock attached power supply? If not, please use the stock attached one.
  3. When the WiFi disappears, observe the status light of the MT3000. What is it like?
