Yup it can go two ways:
- The channel is to high, dfs disconnect and then the driver aborts although not entirely 100% if that is what 0x10 means as error.
Then followed with this:
My suspicioun is that the repeater script had this case not defined and may exits.
- The driver just has issues with 5ghz repeating.
Anyhow you can try to set the channel very low to something like 36?, and channel width to 80mhz.
Only check if 36 is allowed in ur country. 
I did some digging for 0x10 and saw this:
