I have a question hopefully someone could answer. I've just bought the router. I have a campervan and the plan was to leave this plugged in and for me to view from my phone and view my outdoor Dekco Dc6l WiFi cameras from inside my van without an Internet connection, imagine middle of nowhere. I can't for the life of me get these to work. They use cloudedge app and also connect through alexa fine. Any help would be appreciated.
Can this camera APP support offline use?
Like to say, the APP can connect to this camera and view the screen without the Internet, as well as the Alexa speaker, etc.
I assume they need to the Internet connect, so MT3000 has Internet first.
Like you can bring the others cellphone to tethering with MT3000, to let the MT3000 has Internet. Or consider the X3000 router which it has the cellular modem.
Camera won't come on through the App, even when showing connected to the router. It will work when i use my phones as a hot-spot, although that defeats the point of having a router
Most IoT cameras require an internet connection because the stream has to pass through the servers before you can view it. It's probably not a direct connection from the camera to app through wifi.
You will need a camera that can send video data locally. Something like a Reolink.
Your probably right, was hoping there is a work around.
Can I just update everyone as to what I have done to resolve my issue. I've found that the cheap cameras which I have being trying, I have found a work around for anyone else that's interested. The camera needs a handshake for security from the server, then it works off wifi. So I now connect my phone to gl. router, a cheap 5g phone is connected via USB to router using a cheap sim, once I connect via app to camera the data is less than 75kb and then runs on WiFi flawlessly without using any more data. This also has the benefit of me being able to view camera remotely.
