Thanks for the reply. The usb hard drives were both externally powered, one was a Seagate and the other a Western Digital.

Off topic, but regarding power, what does the router need? I thought I’d try running it from a 4000mAh power bank with a 5V/2.1A output I had lying around, but it didn’t power up. The power bank may be bad, or I may be naive about how much power the router needs.

Regarding the commands, I ran the exact one listed in the 2016 post I linked to. The control panel did not list any files from the hard drive after I did this, as it does after it mounts a flash drive. I did not look at the logs.
