GL-MT6000 (Flint 2) multi-WAN setup

Hello

Is it possible to enable the repeater mode automatically when the Flint 2 notices the Ethernet WAN connection is down?

I have a backup 4G router that turns on automatically when the internet (= the Ethernet WAN connection) is down.

I don't want the backup router to be on 24/7 because of energy usage.

I have tried to enable the repeater mode on the Flint 2, but the 24/7 scanning on the Flint 2 trying to find the wifi of the backup 4G router while the backup router is powered off and thus unreachable, makes the Flint 2 wifi very sluggish.

When I disable the repeater mode, my backup router will turn on when Ethernet WAN goes down, but the Flint 2 will not turn on the repeater mode unless I manually do so. This is a problem when I am away from home and I can't reach the Flint 2 interface.

Thank you for looking into this!

Hello,

Unfortunately it did not support.

But Flint 2 v4.8.0 firmware adds a new feature for the repeater, you can enable the repeater always without worry about it scan the primary WiFi and casing own WiFi sluggish:
the router will not automatically scan for networks when it is successfully networked in the non-repeater mode
