GL-MT6000 Flint 2

@will.qiu the current snapshot version fixed the weird IPv6 issues I was experiencing in every stable and beta versions. I have been running it with no issues since I installed, the only “error” is from netify but im sure it’s because I haven’t enabled DPI which isn’t a concern for me. Keep up the awesome work everyone. Looking forward to try more updates :green_heart:

What firmware version we talking about here?
4.8?

4.9?

4.9.1?

4.6.6?

Op24?

Op25?

Op23?

Op21?

Just to make sure we can voice our opinion accurately

Still didn't answer the question :person_facepalming:

Oh? But I said the CURRENT SNAPSHOT; I then linked the snapshot after you misread my post?

Snapshot is not really a identifier what firmware it is.

But if you head to the upgrade page inside the gl ui, please append the compile time, this will show the exact firmware.

Especially since GL-iNet has a habit to randomly remove files, and also silently update them without any notice.

Also maybe I can also give GL-iNet some suggestion:

Please refer instead of just 'snapshot' to mtk sdk snapshot, or qsdk snapshot.

So that it is more clear there is a abstract difference between the op flavours which essentially are also considered 'snapshots', the naming is way to doable.

Looks like the only thing to me that says snapshot…

How hard it's to specify the version number and build date of the firmware in question? :person_facepalming:

How hard is it to use your brain?

Like "xize11" said,

but you can't fix that, I give up on you :palm_down_hand::microphone:

Funny how the snapshot download has now been removed haha

Hi everyone,

First, thank you @DeifiedNinja for your support and for sharing your positive experience with the snapshot build. We’re glad to hear that it resolved the IPv6 issues you had encountered.

We also understand the questions about exactly which firmware build was being discussed. The way snapshot version and build information is currently presented could be clearer, and we apologize for the confusion this caused. The feedback is well taken, and we’ll look into ways to make snapshot builds easier to identify in the future.

We have temporarily removed this snapshot after identifying some issues that require further work. Our team is working on the fixes, and an updated snapshot will be made available again once the issues have been addressed and the build is ready for further testing.

Thank you all for your patience, feedback, and continued support.

Thank you so much and you’re very welcome, I noticed the issues with the one dated 7/22 but 7/21 works perfectly so I rolled back. I also understood how you have it labeled stable/snapshot/op24/op25 the only confusion that would make sense is they didn’t know what daily/ nightly build I was referring to but I clearly stated the currently available snapshot. There’s only one. ( I’ll be trying the current snapshot later today when I get home.) thank you again :green_heart:
