GL-MT6000 v4.7.0 - Speed Issues

I think that you must have missed the title of this thread altogether. Not sure how the 2.5gb WAN port can help you when the LAN speeds are dead at the other end!! I also highly doubt that anyone has managed to achieve the advertised speeds on the Flint 2 particularly with PPPoE that has been riddled with problems. Just the intrusion detection and security features as well as my VPN client on the router staying up for weeks on end with no unexpected and unexplained disconnects are worth every single Pound spent on this little beauty.

I created the thread? This is about issues with WiFi 5GHZ speeds, nothing to do with LAN? I've seen plenty of people use and get full throughout on LAN just fine.

Glad your happy with your new device. If you could stop spamming the thread with irrelevant posts, it'd be handy for those that need to read through

Just trying to help you and others make the better choice. At the end of the day, it is your money and you can waste it how you like. Oh, and your WiFi 5Ghz is part of your LAN in case you didn't know...

@Jbennett360 the beta firmware is out:

Installed yesterday and it seems the issue is gone.

I'm not seeing a slowdown with my iPhone 15 Pro Max after 24 hours. It looks like 4.7.4 RC (February 13) fixed it.

My device got sent back.

I'm still getting full speeds on my phone with this build. This is it.

Thank you, @bruce.

The 4.7.4 Release Candidate appears to have completely broken my internet when Wireguard Client is ON as soon as I use encrypted DNS (I am using NextDNS) with it, something that was working fine on prior versions.

Hello,

May I know on v4.7.4, if enabled WireGuard client and used encrypted DNS (NextDNS), all traffic is abnormal?

Thanks @bruce . Yes, all WAN internet traffic was down. LAN devices were working ok.

Hi,

We are aware of this issue and are very sorry.
This issue will be improved in the next version firmware.

Thanks for your reports.
