[GL-RM10 / V1.8.1+] Fullscreen mode: video image is shifted left, mouse cursor cannot reach right portion of screen

Hi everyone,

I'd like to report a regression bug that appeared in firmware V1.8.1 on the Comet Pro (GL-RM10).

My setup:

  • Device: GL-RM10 (Comet Pro)
  • Controlling machine: Linux, resolution 3840×2400
  • Controlled machine: Windows 10, resolution 1920×1080
  • Video view setting: Adaptive
  • Tested browsers: Chrome 147.0.7727.55, Chromium 146.0.7680.164, Firefox 149.0.2 (64-bit) — all affected

The problem:

When entering fullscreen mode, the remote desktop image is shifted to the left. This means:

  • The left portion of the screen is cut off and not visible
  • The mouse cursor cannot reach the right side — it stops just a couple of centimeters short of the right edge of the screen

I've attached a screenshot showing the issue: the cursor is stuck very close to the right edge but can't actually reach it.

What I've tested:

  • Changing display scaling on the Linux machine (any value) — bug still reproduces
  • Changing display scaling on the Windows machine (any value) — bug still reproduces
  • Tested in Chrome, Chromium and Firefox — bug reproduces in all three

Firmware history:

  • V1.8.2 release1 — bug present ✗
  • V1.8.1 release1 — bug present ✗
  • V1.8.0 — works correctly ✓

So this is clearly a regression introduced in V1.8.1. Downgrading to V1.8.0 fully resolves the issue.

A related scaling issue was also reported here:

Hope this helps track down the issue. Happy to provide additional info or logs if needed!

Thank you for the detailed regression report.

Could you please let us know which EDID resolution you're currently using? We recommend using a resolution that matches the native resolution of your controlled device, or at least the same aspect ratio

Also, regarding the issue where the mouse cursor cannot reach the right side of the screen, could you try switching the mouse mode to Relative to see if that helps?

Could you please put some GIFs or videos here to help us understand what happened

@Flora72, @rondout Hi, thank you for your help and quick responses!

Here are two screen recordings showing the issue in fullscreen mode:

Video 1 — Mouse mode: Absolute

1

In both cases the image is shifted to the left in fullscreen mode. With Absolute mode the cursor gets stuck near the right edge of the visible area. With Relative mode the cursor can move past the visible area on the rig

ht side (off-screen). Additionally, in Relative mode the cursor behaves erratically - it randomly disappears and reappears during use.

The exit fullscreen button in the toolbar is not clickable - it appears to be outside the accessible area due to the image shift. The only way to exit fullscreen is by pressing and holding the Esc key.

The EDID is set to 1920×1080 Asus / 60Hz, which matches the native resolution of the controlled Windows 10 machine (also 1920×1080).

Could you please let us know which version of Linux you're currently running?

Regarding the issue where you're unable to exit fullscreen — you can click this button to exit fullscreen mode:

We're running Ubuntu 26.04 LTS.

Regarding the exit fullscreen button — yes, that's the same button. The clickable area appears to be offset from the visible button position due to the image shift. If you position the cursor carefully slightly to the left of the visible button, it is sometimes possible to click it - but it requires several attempts and precise positioning.

I've also recorded a short video demonstrating this behavior.

Please take a look, thank you!
