GL RM1PE Shift-Key in Overlay Window

Hi, I have a really strange issue.

Our Setup is two RM1 and two RM1PE, each connected to a HDMI-KVM with 4 PCs.

Everything seems to work as expected, when the RM1/RM1PE is connected directly to a PC.

Connected over the HDMI-KVM: I can hold the Shift-Key to select i.e. multiple icons with my mouse. But in an overlay Window it doesn’t work. Specifically it’s the voltage Curve Editor in MSI Afterburner. This issue doesn’t exist, when the keyboard is connected to the HDMI-KVM without the RM1PE.

Two RM1 (V1.5.0 release1) don’t have this problem, but both RM1PE (V1.5.1.release2) have this issue. Is this a hardware issue or something changed in the firmware? Is there another firmware I can try on the RM1PE? I couldn’t find any in the forum.

I have tried to customize the input to the correct keyboard, but it really just is a basic Logitech K120.

Another thing that I noticed: On the RM1PE the image sometimes disconnects and it looks kind of smushy like there is a huge compression used. Quality on high with all settings equal the RM1PE show a stable 5000-5200kbps, while the RM1 with the better image shows 3000-7000kbps.

Sorry that our producti was not designed for working with KVM switch device.
As a result, there would be some unexpected issue occur and we cannot give you useful solution. You can try to change device identity or disable the virtual media.

I understand. I already tried other identities and the HDMI-KVM only works with disabled virtual media.

I bought 2 more RM1, now everything works as expected without changing anything else in the setup.

This basically means, RM1PE offers less compatibility. I’m guessing it’s a software issue, but I could be wrong of course.
