Goal: Setup offline media server (local only)

Hi people,

I just got this pocket router, logged into web interface to setup and update firmware etc (automatically).

However, I was trying to find SMB or File Sharing options.
After doing some searching online it should be under the "Applications" but it's missing:

Then, I found that a few previous firmware versions prior, they removed it to save space.
My current firmware version is: **4.3.24**

I checked this post:

Before installation, ensure that the router has at least 20 MB free flash space. opkg update opkg install gl-sdk4-webdav gl-sdk4-nas-exfat gl-sdk4-nas-utils gl-sdk4-nas-web gl-sdk4-ui-nasview samba4-server samba4-libs samba4-utils minidlna blkid kmod-fs-ext4 kmod-fs-ntfs kmod-fs-vfat kmod-fs-exfat kmo…

and ran via SSH;

```auto
opkg update
opkg install gl-sdk4-webdav gl-sdk4-nas-exfat gl-sdk4-nas-utils gl-sdk4-nas-web gl-sdk4-ui-nasview samba4-server samba4-libs samba4-utils minidlna blkid kmod-fs-ext4 kmod-fs-ntfs kmod-fs-vfat kmod-fs-exfat kmod-usb-storage-uas ntfs-3g ntfs-3g-utils dosfstools e2fsprogs shadow-common shadow-useradd
```

No errors/warnings.

Rebooted the router.

However, the "File Sharing" option is still missing.

Any suggestions?

Hello,

due to the possibility that installing the plugin may affect the stability of the SFT1200, we have temporarily taken them off.

The SFT1200 already has the firmware version [v4.7.2 beta](https://dl.gl-inet.com/router/sft1200/beta), which supports NAS-SAMBA functionality.
Please manually update to this firmware version.
