GL-SFT1200 and Huawei E3372h-320: Tethering not working

Hi, i recently purshased a GL-SFT1200 and Huawei E3372h-320 (4g USB device).

I’ve changed the native GL LAN network (192.168.8.0 to 192.168.10.0), to avoid conflict with the E3372h-320 (192.168.8.0).

When i plug the USB device, the USB device is detected as tethering modem, so i click on CONNECT button, and the GL got an @IP in the expected network 192.168.8.0.

BUT, i don’t no why, i can’t access to Internet:

  • Tried to ping google.com from my PC: DNS requests works (fqdn resolved), but ping or navigation never works.
  • Tried the same thing directly from the GL: identical results.
  • If i plug the USB device directly on my PC, it work out of the box i can navigate (so no SIM LOCK PIN).
  • It works also on my raspberry with wvdial.
  • If i use my smathphone as USB modem, it works.

What did i miss?

Thanks.

Hi

Please first upgrading to the v4.7.2 Beta firmware. Once updated, please try the following adjustments individually to see if they help or not:

  1. Adjust the MTU to 1428 or 1280

  2. Adjust TTL and HL to 65.

If the issue persists, do you have an alternative internet source available, such as a mobile hotspot? If so, please connect the SFT1200 to it via the Repeater and share the device with us through GoodCloud according to this tutorial. This will allow us to perform a remote inspection.
