Had a 750M Travel router and this USB modem worked in tether mode. Upgraded to the 1200 and nothing I do seems to make it see the USB card.
I am using the included power supply.
The USB card is recognized and works perfectly in my laptop.
I verified that usb-modeswitch is installed.
Firmware on Router and USB modem are up to date.
Trying to look at the logs, but there is nothing obvious.
Wifi and WAN are working. WAN port plugged into my local network and all it fine.
Not sure what I am missing here. Seems like this should be relatively plug and play.
Please PM me the syslog, I would like to check if the router USB interface loaded the USB dongle.
You may wait the dongle start-up and re-connect the tethering again, since the dongle itself takes some time to start the system, may be 1 - 2 mins
(Or SSH to the router, and execute: ifup tethering)
Generally if this dongle is compatible with routers, you do not need to install any third-party plugins.
If no luck, the dongle/modem may be incompatible with the router connection.
I was able to go in the Advanced settings and see the Tethered Interface was trying to come up. There was an error regarding Unsupported Protocol. I installed the packages at the link it suggested and now the card can complete a connection and seems to be staying online. I was up and connected in my camper over 4 hours this afternoon. I think I am all set at this point.
