Idk the exact time i sent the ticket, but Wednesday evening. Took me a couple days before I even started posting here out of desperation
I am sure that @alzhao will take a look & reply to you soon
I would therefore ask you to at least wait for his reply before you go on the battle against GL.iNet.
Of course, I could tell you some nonsense right now, but GL.iNet is naturally interested in ensuring that every customer is satisfied. So give them the opportunity to do so
Since I don't work for them, I can just ask you for your patience. Hope you can understand.
(In Hong Kong it's night now)
We got your emails on Sunday. Our guys will reply you via email.
I received the replacement. It's even more broken. Won't register ethernet traffic. Re imaged it straight out of the box, just si i could access admin, via wifi. I want a working product, or my money. I don't want to create new tickets for what is supposed to be a solution. I am now informing the 10,000 streamers i communicate with, that your products don't work, your CS is two dudes on a forum, and your solutions are other peoples problems
Pissed i gave this company money a month and a half ago, and still have the same problem i started with, and am now playing this BS game
Register ethernet traffic means you plugged in your PC via LAN or you plugged in the upper router via WAN?
I received the replacement, removed from box and attempted to access admin. Couldn't.
Removed all cables, put laptop into WAN. Held reset, plugged in, waited for five blue flashes and a solid white. Changed IP to 192.168.1.2 default gateway to 192.168.1.1
Did this all from memory, which pisses me off.
Re imaged with the file that i already had, from dealing with this so much.
Swapped ports when i saw the router on my wifi list. Tried to connect via ethernet several times, re imaged two more times. Connected and accessed admin via wifi.
Reset firmware from settings. Rebooted from admin panel.
Absofuckinglutely none of this worked on the router i was sent, to replace the router i bought a month ago, that is in better condition than this one
Oh yeah, i even told it to make the WAN to LAN, and that didn't work
How do you connect via Ethernet? Just a cable from your PC to the router?
Is your PC 2.5 GbE or more, by chance?
Yes, i connect with ethernet from laptop, to opal, to wifi. the first unit worked fine for five days. I don't know what your asking about PC. It's a Dell Latitude E5450 i5
I asked about the connection speed because there are some network devices that don't like 2.5 Gigabit connections. But the Dell should be fine.
I would say we should start from scratch without modification, so all parameters are known. So without port swapping or any other thing.
Do you feel more comfortable using Discord for troubleshooting? I can't promise anything but at least I could have a look.
Either here or discord is fine. I'm going to have to use my phone
