GL-X2000 cellular Telekom Issues

Hello,

I’ve recentlyy bought the GL-X2000 to use as a cellular router. I thought it’s going to be an easy setup, but I didn’t manage to get the cellular connection working.

I have a German Telekom Unlimited SIM-Card which is allowed to be used in a router.

I’ve tried multiple combinations of APNs, but nothing helps.

Does anyone have a tip for me, how to get it working?

Thank you, everyone.

Hi,

  1. Is router connected the cellular antennas?

  2. Please check the modem status and SIM status using following AT commands in Admin Panel > Internet > Modem > ··· > Modem AT command:

AT+CFUN?
AT+CSQ
AT+COPS?
  1. Please export modem-debug info from Admin Panel > Internet > Modem > ··· > Modem AT command:

  1. Please export the system log (logread.tar) from Admin Panel > SYSTEM > Log > Export.
  2. Your use region and SIM card operator.
  3. Please share the above results through PM me or email [email protected].

Hi Bruce,

thank you for the fast reply.

  1. Yes the cellular antennas are connected

  2. I exported the modem debug info and I’ll send it.

  3. I also exported the system log and I’ll send it as well

  4. I am in Germany and the provider is the German Telekom

  5. I couldn’t figure out how to send a PM in the forum so I’ll send it by email.

    Thank you

Hi contest2
I also have the Spitz-X2000, using a Deutsche Telekom SIM card.
It works for me with the following settings:

  • Protocol: QCM
  • Port: /dev/cdc-wdm0
  • APN: internet.telekom
  • IP Type: IPv4
  • Auth: PAP
  • Username: telekom
  • Password: telekom

You should disable the PIN on the SIM card.
I'm using firmware 4.7.13.

I couldn't get a connection with the new beta (4.8.2).

Hi Numbnutz,

I’ve tried those settings as well and it didn’t work.

I’m also on firmware 4.7.13

Hi i‘m also a Telek Deutschland unlimited User.

A big Problem at moment is the Gaming Option 5G+. I had Some trouble with my spitz ax.

Do you have activated this Option? If yes at the Moment in the Most cases it not working on the routers…

You can cancel the Option if you have it.

With this option only the apn internet.v6.telekom is wiorking. There alot of threads about at the offical Telekom hilft Forum.

Kind regards

Benni

Hi @Numbnutz @contest2
As Benni said, the common APN for Telekom is "internet.v6.telekom". Did you try this APN for internet access?

Hi bahu111,

thank you very much. I think that was the solution. Even though the X-2000 doesn’t even use 5G that was the problem.

It works with the other APN internet.telekom. Apparently the x-2000 isn’t capable of using the ipv6 Version of the APN

Yes I can confirm now.

internet.telekom and internet.t-d1.de

These apn‘s are working Perfect. But only if the 5G+ Gaming option is not active (5G Standalone).

Internet.v6.telekom is Not working for me in any cases.

We previously received feedback that Telekom can use APN internet.v6.telekom. Did you try changing the IP type to "IPv4 & IPv6" through cellular manual setup?

Hey Cathy,

without the 5G+ Standalone Option(5G Gaming Option) the APN internet.v6.telekom is working.

I have test it right now.

The Problem is with the Standalone Option on. There is Only IPV6 possible. The same problems we have also @ Fritz Box 6850 or 6860. With this Option nothing is working. And for this option you have to take the internet.v6.telekom.

But I don’t know what’s the problem…
