GL-X2000: "SIM Card not registered" error

Hello,

I've bought the X2000 router and keep getting this error:

SIM Card not registered
Some SIM cards have special usage restrictions, for example, the need to use a specific APN. If your SIM card cannot be registered, please check with your network operator to see if your SIM has any special restrictions.

It works perfectly in my previous Huawei stick modem.

Here is what I've tried:

  • Setting the correct APN, of course
  • Clone IMEI from the previous modem
  • Manually registering with the AT command AT+COPS=1,2,"25011",7
  • And all other possible solutions I was able to find online

For the AT+CREG? command I get +CREG: 0,2 (but after cloning IMEI it was +CEREG: 0,0)

I can see the list of networks and connected/not registered network stats, but the SIM can't register in the network.

What else can I do?

Thank you, everyone.

Hello @ifme , is this router used in Russia?
The cellular function doesn't work in Russia due to the modem limitation.

It was bought in Germany, but I sent it to my parents in Russia, yes.
I understand the reasons. Is there a chance to get any custom firmware that will enable the modem?

Sorry there is no good ways to remove the modem restriction.
