GL-X3000 5G Modem Connectivity and IP Renewal Issue

Firmware Version: 4.0 0704release5 | Modem: RM520NGLAAR03A03M4G_01.201.01.201 | set as PCIe interface
Network Mode: 5G NSA / 5G SA (issue occurs on both)
Frequency of Issue: Every 12–36 hours (intermittent, but consistent over time)

First error message in the LOGS, when it starts:

modem ip different, now regain ip

Issue Summary

The GL-X3000 modem experiences intermittent internet connectivity loss, specifically related to IP renewal or reassignment from the carrier after a period of stable use. This occurs approximately every 12, 24, or 36 hours.

When this issue occurs, it typically takes at least two reboots to restore connectivity.
Occasionally, after the first reboot, I receive the error message: "SIM not registered"
However, if I remove the SIM card and insert it into a smartphone, the phone connects to the internet immediately without any issues.

I have this add-on installed, but it doesn't seem to be triggering any actions — it's not restarting the modem, the network, or rebooting the device as expected.

Expected Behavior

The modem should seamlessly receive the new IP address from the carrier and reconnect to the network.

Actual Behavior

After a certain uptime, the modem loses connectivity.
It fails to obtain a new IP address.
Sometimes reports the SIM as not registered.
Manual rebooting and SIM re-seating are often required.
The issue raises serious concerns in me, especially in unattended scenarios. For example, I can't reasonably expect my wife or son to perform multiple reboots or manually modify/re-apply APN settings to restore the connection.

Additional Information

Inserting the SIM card into a smartphone always results in immediate connectivity, ruling out SIM or network provisioning issues.
The problem seems to be related to DHCP lease renewal or how the carrier handles IP reassignment. I consistently receive a 192.0.0.2 IP address under the 5G connection details, but the device does not appear to be aware of its actual external/public IP address.
As a result, the device becomes unreliable for home use, particularly for non-technical users.

Today I have disabled a few services, and I will monitor this.

Please advise on any patches, settings, or diagnostic steps to further isolate or resolve the issue.
Ideally, I would like the modem to automatically reconnect whenever the connection drops.
So far, the longest uninterrupted connection I've had was 1 day and 12 hours .

Thanks for the offer!

Since I followed the steps in this post and disabled all those services, the device has been stable — it's been connected for 5 days straight now.

The only functionality I'm missing is the data usage stats, and I can’t see which clients are connected to the router, either via cable or Wi-Fi.

But the good news is: the 5G connection seems solid, and the modem no longer crashes when a new IP address is assigned.
