GL-X300B- 4G modem doesn't work after power goes out

We have several routers that have strange behavior with the 4G modem. When the power goes out and comes back, they turn on but remain offline, along with all the connected devices.

To fix this, we have to access the configuration and re-enter the APN, even though it is already set.

Can you provide an explanation for this issue? Is there a way to reboot or send a AT command by sms to reboot the internal 4G modem?

Hello,
Just to confirm, are you set up cellular internet via Manual Setup method?
This could be a known issue. May I know the firmware version of the router?

Hi Cathy,
yes we set up cellular internet via Manual Setup method. The firmware version is 4.5.19. Please note that the same problem we find on another router model XE300 PULI. The firmware version of it is 4.3.18. is there a solution? is it possible to have a way to reboot only a modem by sms or a string to set up schedule task like this : */20 * * * * /bin/ping -q -c 3 8.8.8.8 || /sbin/reboot.
This string reboot the roure i need instead the same string to reboot the modem.

Thank you

I wonder if the APN you set before is still the same after the device lost power and restarted.

If APN did change after the router restarts, pls log in to ssh terminal, use command vi /usr/bin/switch_sim_slot to modify the config, and use symbol # to comment out the line, as shown below:

If the APN didn't change, pls provide some logs and export the modem-debug file from admin panel->INTERNET->Cellular->Modem Management page for analysis. You can mail to support@gl-inet.com for further help.

If your device has only one internet connection, you can restart the network through ssh command /etc/init.d/network restart

The APN doesn't change, it seems like the modem built in is disconnected. please note that we have scheduled every daym the router reboot, but also with this feature, the modem built in, doesn't connect.

has this oruter's model, the possibility to receive a sms with AT command by a phone?

Does this issue occur every time the device restarts? Can you share one device with us through Goodcloud for remote check?

this router is installed in a box out, in a street and a Cam is connected. When there is a voltage drop, (we konw it because there is a intrusion control panel thet notify it), the modem built in disconnect and doesn't connect anymore. We have several router installed, and it happens every time there is a voltage drop. Now there is a router off line and we need to send a technician to reboot modem built in. This is a problem so i need to know if we can something by sms so we doesnt send a technician everytime

Hi, we found the router in this way,

it seems that the modem doesn't connect after voltage drop.

I'm sending by email the modem-debug file.

Thanks. We‘ve received the email and will check it now. BTW, sorry for that it doesn't support to remotely reboot the modem via SMS.
