is this modem supporting esim? And for esim I don't mean the phisical one but the downloadable one that it's coming more and more the standard among providers in Europe/Switzerland. I already checked out some posts here in the forum but they all refer to some "physical esim" that doesn't make any sense (at least here in Europe). An esim is everything but physical: usually it's a QR Code/Long Alphanumerical code.

No, eSIM always refers to the downloadable profile for store them on the vSIM adapter card (eSIM Solution - GL.iNet)
Pure eSIM like you already know from your smartphone isn't possible. (yet?)
It is: GL.iNet GL-E750V2 Mudi with vSIM Technology
But you have to dig very deep to find that this is tied to one particular data seller and you can't just load any eSIM profile

Yeah, GL seem to use a couple of the terms interchangeably, when they're really not.
What they are referring to is a physical SIM that works like an eSIM, so you can change the profile without having to get another physical card.
