Does anyone know if the GL-AR750S-EXT is set up as a DHCP server?
I cannot find any settings in the admin screen.

Yes. The router comes in “router mode” by default. You can change the operation mode via:

More Settings → Network Mode.

For example setting the router to Acess Point will make the router act as a client, while Bridge and WDS disable DHCP letting the upstream router handle the clients and serve IP’s.
