My Slate-7 went gray on the GoodCloud portal and I'm trying to add it back. Everything so far failed so I manually deleted it from the portal to start over clean.

If I follow the steps on the router itself, I get "Connection failed. Please try again later." The router is connected to another network at the moment as a Repeater and all devices connecting to it can get to GoodCloud and all other websites I tried.

If I do the Manual Add via the GoodCloud portal, it asks me to "Please visit the router's local admin panel to complete the binding." but I can't find what I need to do on the local admin to complete the binding.

How to I (re)bind it back to GoogCloud?

Hi,

Could you please provide the following information?

1. Please share your router’s firmware version.

2. Please follow the section matching your firmware version in the GoodCloud binding guide, and let us know which step shows “Connection failed.”
[GoodCloud - GL.iNet Router Docs 4](https://docs.gl-inet.com/router/en/4/interface_guide/cloud/#bind-devices-to-cloud)

3. If possible, could you please temporarily connect the Slate 7 to a different upstream network, such as a phone hotspot through Repeater, and try binding again.

4. After reproducing the error, please go to SYSTEM → Log and click Export Log, then send the exported file to us via private message.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Hi Charles, thanks for the steps.

It fails when I Click Bind GL.iNet Account via URL.

It happens often and the only way to "fix" this is to completely reset the router (Slate7, Flint3, etc).

How does one do that from the GoodCloud portal? Where in the router interface does one need to go when the message "Please visit the router's local admin panel to complete the binding" pops up on the GoodCloud.

I'll give you simple set of steps where this always fails for me.

Get two Flint3 routers, reset them, setup Flint3-A as a main node. Follow the steps to register it on GoodCloud from the Router's interface.

Now, what are the steps to register the second Flint3-B that's sitting freshly reset on the second floor above Flint3-A, ready to be added to the mesh as a WiFi Node? I can't follow the steps from the router as it's not connected to any network. When I add it to the mesh and open the interface via the Mesh menu on Flint3-A, the menus for registering it to GoodCloud are no longer accessible. That's when I try to add it from the GoodCloud but again, I get stuck with the "Please visit the router's local admin panel to complete the binding" which I cannot find on Flint3-B.

I need this as the mesh is still very unstable and I'd like to get the GoodCloud email notifications when Flint3-B disconnects.
