I have considered going Mudi 7 and just only Mudi 7, but have some uncertainties.
I use a ton of data, probably well over 1 TB a month. I have been able to lower it to 100 GB in bad situations, but lowering my data use too much is harder.
I also worry about my location data being constantly tracked and it being leaked to me. With older 4G modems, many phreaks know about the “secret” commands to deal with cellular identifiers, but I have no idea if those commands work anymore, I am pretty sure they don’t work on 5G-NR, right?
I just get worried that if I get it from a big retailer, then they may track the serial, track the main cellular identifier (not writing it but we all know which one), and then track me from wherever my location is, linking it to any SIM I get and just sell it to anyone and everyone. I am not doing anything illegal, but being tracked via location is creepy and makes me uncomfortable.
I don’t care about being tracked when using my home internet (especially because my connection uses data whether I am home or not). I also do not keep a smart phone with me, so please don’t say “But you already have a smart phone!” No… I don’t!
In a perfect situation, I could get a Mudi 7, use that for all internet, and vary my main cellular identifier so I wasn’t being tracked, but I don’t want to spend the money on this if it’s not possible and I just end up buying an expensive tracker that will always be linked to me, despite how incredibly neat it looks.
