I use my GL-MT3000 in hotels mainly. But the thought occured to me to use it to connect a usb hard drive to my network. When I use it as a WiFi connection, I can easily connect with my phone. But my laptop has only a read only connection. I read how you could use good cloud or WebDav. I set it up, but then I decided I would rather use another online file storage system I already have. Any suggestions to make this simpler. My previous router had a great working USB port that was accessible anywhere through the internet.
Hello,
The GL firmware SAMBA/WebDAV/DLNA process is relatively simple and convenient I assume.
Do you have any suggestions to optimize this step?
- Is it connected through SAMBA in the laptop?
- Please check whether the account is allowed to be read-write or read-only?
- When connecting to the notebook, please enter an account with read and write permissions.
Webdav is good but you can have issues with files size. You can user Webdav, yes, but I do not recommend
