How Can I Change the Hostname Without Room to Install Luci?

Well, I tried this on the GL-MT3000 - could not find hostname referred to in /etc/config/network - so I went to /etc/config/system and sure enough there it was under:

config system
    option hostname 'GL-MT3000'

Unfortunately - back in Win64 Chrome browser… no sign of that hostname

http://gl-mt3000.lan
http://gl-mt3000
I even tried the https: versions of the above - still nothing

But I have the MT3000 running as part of my LAN (with the WAN input set to run as LAN) and can access it by IP address… any thoughts?

check out the content in /etc/config/dhcp

NEEDED 2 references in /etc/config/dhcp changing and the one in /etc/config/network (the latter updated LUCI but didn’t change the name on my network. So I used FLINT and now in advanced IP scanner it comes up as FLINT.lan - what I wanted.
