Another option buy better gl router for home. Or buy mini PC server.

Have you try local domain "ru" in your router setting luci (network > dhcp and dns > general, local domain change "ru") 
I tried to block TLD by:
address=/*.ru/0.0.0.0
Rules in DNSMASQ and it is ok.
But OP should use RPi or something similar to block IPs. They are too heavy for regular router
