I found why wireguard does not work on my gl.inet ar300m router:

I would check your private and public keys are correct?
Try a new wireguard configuration file?
is part of the system and lets the computer kernel read and change the ip routing tables on the router.
May need to reset the router to factory or upgrade the firmware. Make a backup in LuCi or you config file just in case.
Wireguard has been very weird with me the last week or so also - I keep getting drops in the wifi connection telling me “unable to connect to network” and the only thing that fixes it (mostly) is taking the power lead out of the router and replugging it again. I have changed the configuration file to specify a different server now however I’m still seeing the"daemon.notice netifd: wgclient (27479): RTNETLINK answers: Permission denied" in the logs. Anyway to troubleshoot if these are related?I download the configuration file directly from VPN provider and just copy and paste it into the manual configuration for wireguard.
Wireguard has little logs.

wireguard service provider,
router firmware version
how does router connect to the Internet,
when this happens, can you disable wireguard and still have Internet
