How to open port 83

On my routers config panel (GL-AR300M-730) it says that port 83 is not open. How / where can I do that, and is it needed to run OpenVPN?

how to enable: click on where it says disabled (SETTINGS>WAN access disabled) then check “Enabled WAN Access”
Is it necessary: No, leave it off unless you need remote access.

with WAN access enabled I still get “port 83 not opened”, I also port forwarding port 83 in firewall.
any advise?, no main router…I am tethered GL-AR300M to a cell phone.

If you use smartphone tethering, you’d likely not be able to do remote access because carriers has a strong firewall.
