How to safely disable VPN client functionality on GL-AR750S

I have a GL.iNet GL-AR750S (NOR/NAND) with OpenWrt 22.03.4 r20123-38ccc47687 and Firmware Version 4.3.17

This device is in a remote location and I had set it up as a VPN client to tunnel all traffic through my router at home. This all worked perfectly but now I have no need for this tunnel any longer.

I just want to make sure that I do not mess up and have to book a flight to fix the device settings where the router is located.

Please let me know if what I describe is all I need to do?

Can I then simply disable the VPN client?

Hi,
You can use gl good cloud to remotely control the device. Good could supports remote ssh and remote access to the web console.

Therefore, it is recommended that you remotely turn off the VPN through good cloud, and you can still access this machine through good cloud to do whatever you want.
The documentation is at: GoodCloud - GL.iNet Router Docs 4

Yes, just one click to turn off all VPN services

As my colleague recommend, you can remote GL GUI and remote SSH via the GoodCloud to configure the GL router:

  1. Bind the router to GoodCloud. (Just recommend, you can ignore this point if you have a remote access already)

  2. yes, Disable all

  1. Disable the VPN client.

Thank you very much, that worked and looks indeed like the easiest and safest solution.
