How to setup Opal GL-SFT1200 to wirelessly access another network via WAN port

Hi all,
I'm a network engineer and need you support re my Opal GL-SFT1200 access point.
I want to use my wifi access point to wirelessly connect to a switch in another room and access the client connected to the switch remotely.
The switch and all clients are on network 10.100.87.65 255.255.255.192. I want to set a static IP address on access point WAN interface from the same range (say 10.100.87.113) and connect it to the switch. Then I will hook up my laptop wirelessly to the access point. (it will get an IP address like 192.168.8.102 from the DHCP)

I tried everything I know and found online to be able to ping the clients on the switch by my laptop but never successful. Like disabling NAT via SSH command line or bridging WLAN and WAN interface of the access point. nothing worked.

please not, I don't need internet access, just need to access another network with a specific IP range, via the wireless connection of the access point.

Could you please share the network topology figure with us?

The description at the beginning, I thought it should be work at extender mode, but it doesn't look like that is in the description later, so it's a little unclear if there is no topology.

Thanks for the reply Bruce, managed for fix the problem by doing 3 things.

NAT must be left enable
Reset the router after every WAN port IP changing
Enable the testing PC to respond to PING messages this is how: Navigate to Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Defender Firewall. Click on "Advanced settings" and then "Inbound Rules." Find the rules for "File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In)" and enable it.
