Implementation of IKEv2 client on GL-X3000 Spitz

Hello,

I tried and check through the forum using “IKEv2” as a search keyword, but I could not find (or I did not understand) any of the posts helping me with the availability of an IKEv2 client on Spitz.

I would strongly like having that client implemented among the already available OpenVPN and WireGuard clients because I recently subscribed to an VPN provider which ONLY allows IKEv2 connections to their server, presenting a lot of good reasons for this choice (or constraint).

Is there a plan for making available on GL-X3000 Spitz the IKEv2 client for VPNs? If yes, which is the roadmap? Dates?

Hello,

There are no plans to add an IKEv2 VPN client to the firmware.
You can try to install the strongwan plugin to connect to an IKEv2 VPN server in router, and it seems to require uploading and configuring it with SSH&SCP to the router.
